Mr. Zhang Yong, President of Tidfore Group, led a delegation to Seoul and Pohang for a five-day visit from December 20 to 24. Cooperation agreements on expansion of global port market have been reached with Pohang Municipal Government and Korea DY Engineering Company respectively.
“Tidfore is moving ahead with offshore engineering equipment and expanding overseas market. Offshore business is going to account for 50% to 70% of its total business in the next three to five years.” said Mr. Zhang who is in the hope of exploring global port market through win-win cooperation with Korea DY by taking advantage of its technology and experience in port design field.
Kwon JaeHyung, CEO of Korea DY, expressed, “Tidfore is capable of providing full-service such as project design, equipment manufacture and erection as well as financial leasing which contribute to high project construction efficiency and quality.” He is confident in Tidfore’s comprehensive strength and hopes that the cooperation will be fruitful and profitable.
Tidfore also discussed overseas business with Korea Bishan Engineering Company who is specialized in engineering procurement construction.
On the afternoon of December 23, Mr. Zhang was invited by Mr. Li Kangde, Mayor of Pohang, to an evening banquet on Pohang investment and cooperation enterprises. Both sides discussed POSCO EC’s projects in Vietnam and Mongolia and Tidfore’s project to build a heavy equipment manufacturing park in Pohang.
